Training: Trans Awareness

News & Media / In The Community / Training

Friday, 2nd May, 2025

Overview

Barnsley Pride in the Community, in association with SAYiT Sheffield bring you our Trans Awareness Training (CPD Accredited).

Trans awareness training is important because it fosters understanding, respect, and inclusion for transgender and gender-diverse individuals in workplaces, schools, and communities. This type of training helps to challenge harmful stereotypes, reduce discrimination, and promote safe environments where everyone can thrive.

By educating people about gender identity, pronouns, and the real-life experiences of trans individuals, it builds empathy and encourages more informed and respectful interactions. Additionally, it supports organisations in meeting legal and ethical responsibilities related to equality and human rights. Overall, trans awareness training is a key step toward building a more inclusive and equitable society.

Places are limited to 20 people.
