Stall Vendor Information

  • How much is a stall pitch at Barnsley Pride?
    A stall pitch at Barnsley Pride is £40.00 for Non-Profit and Charity organisations, £105.00 For-Profit Businesses and £150.00 for hospitality (food/drink) vendors. Terms and Conditions Please note that this is a non-refundable fee once stall is confirmed. There must be no outstanding payment 14 days prior to the event date.
  • When can I register my interest for a stall pitch at Barnsley Pride 2026?
    Applications for stall vendors will open Sunday 1st March 2026 and will close on Sunday 31st May 2026. This deadline is final. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.
  • Do I have to bring my own equipment?
    Due to budgets, all outdoor vendors are required to supply their own gazebo, tables and chairs, that fill a 3 x 3 m pitch. No electricity can be provided to outdoor stalls. Indoor stalls are provided with 1 x table and 2 x chairs, all other equipment is the responsibility of the stall vendor.
  • I'm using a vehicle to transport my equipment, can I bring it onsite?
    On the day of Pride, access to the site is available from 07.00am - 11.00am. All vehicles are required to be offsite by 11.00am for health and safety reasons.
  • The Code of Conduct
    1. Barnsley Pride is a celebration of diversity and equality, and all participants in Barnsley Pride are expected to embrace and respect this. 2. Barnsley Pride will not tolerate any threatening, violent or offensive behaviour against its volunteers, staff, participants, stallholders, security personnel or members of the public. 3. Pride celebrates diversity and will not tolerate any individual or group engaged in offensive behaviour, or any signage targeting another individuals: Sexuality Gender Gender identity Race Age Nationality Disability Appearance Religion or any other protected characteristic 4. Any individual found to be harassing or infringing on the bodily integrity of other participants will be asked to exit the event immediately and will be reported to the police. 5. Any individual found to be consuming illegal substances on the Pride or wider event footprint will be removed and referred to the police. 6. Any stall representative that is deemed aggressive, incapacitated, threatening, a threat to their own health, or unable to fulfill the role they intended to do due to intoxication, will not be permitted to take part in the event. 7. Barnsley Pride politely requests that everyone act responsibly and according to the law with regards to alcohol consumption across the event footprint. Wheel stewards must refrain from consuming alcohol whilst in the Pride footprint. 8. Nudity, obscenity, indecent exposure or sexual acts in public by participants or stall holders is not allowed in the Pride footprint. As a guidance, ‘swimsuit coverage’ is the minimum requirement. 9. Barnsley Pride expects participants to abide by the sustainability guidance provided. This includes: Only using biodegradable glitter No smoke, paint or glitter bombs No stickers or single use handouts No releasing of balloons 10. If you see or are notified of any incident that would break this code of conduct, please notify a steward or a member of the Police immediately. Failure to abide by the Code of Conduct can result in the following: Barnsley Pride reserves the right to remove any group or person(s) if in the opinion of the organisers their behaviour is deemed offensive, puts spectators or other participants at risk of physical harm, violates the code of conduct, or is a hindrance to the progress of the event. Any fees paid will be forfeited.
  • Stall Vendor Terms and Conditions
    Inclusivity Your organisation or business must be fully inclusive of everyone in the LGBT+ community. Stall amenities Stall pitches are 3 x 3 m. All outdoor stall vendors are required to provide their own gazebo, tables and chairs. No electricity can be provided for outdoor stalls, unless otherwise discussed with Barnsley Pride. Opening times Your stall must be open for the duration of the event (12.00pm-5.00pm) unless agreed in advance, in writing, with Barnsley Pride. You may not close or break down your stall before 5.00pm. Stall holders who close and/or break down early may be subject to a penalty. Forbidden items The following items are prohibited: glass, diesel or petrol generators, fuel, smoke machines or smoke effects, amplified music, strobe lighting, confetti, or the sale of food and drink (unless you are a hospitality trader). You may not give away stickers, plastic or fabric carrier bags, confetti or any other item that causes excessive litter (please check with us for advice). Trading license This will be discussed during the application process. Fundraising No fundraising is allowed, except for Barnsley Pride. This includes offering a service or product in return for a donation, or asking people to sign up to direct debits etc. Sub-letting You must not sub-let your stall to a third party. Any stall that has been sub-let will be immediately closed by Barnsley Pride and no refund will be applicable. Parking You will be able to park within a few minutes' walk of the stall for unloading and loading, but only during an allocated time slot; you will need to make your own arrangements for parking your vehicle away from the Pride footprint for the duration of the day. Insurance You must have £5m of public liability insurance and you must provide evidence of cover to Barnsley Pride in advance of the event. Rubbish No waste service is provided and you must take all rubbish away with you from the stall. If you leave rubbish, or leave it by public bins, this is fly-tipping and you may be fined by Barnsley Council. Securing a place Applications for stalls are currently closed for 2026. Once you have accepted an offer, your application has become a booking. No refunds are paid on cancelled stalls. You may not sell, lend, transfer or sub-let the stall to anyone else. The decision of Barnsley Pride is final. You are required to comply with all reasonable requests from Barnsley Pride team members during the event.
