"We are so excited to be headlining the main stage at Barnsley Pride this year! Get ready for a high energy, parody packed set that celebrates some of our favourite divas! Including full-out dance sets, live vocals and special joy-inducing moments that will bring the Barnsley Pride community together! Not only that, our award winning non-binary drag diva A.S.H Akan will be performing a very special set on the Cabaret Stage and this performance is not to be missed! A.S.H Akan is known for their fierce looks, warm heart and incredible vocals!"

Through hosting regular all-ability queer dance classes and socials, performing all over the country at Prides and LGBTQ+ events and raising funds for LGBTQ+ charities and individuals, HOMOPARODY has established itself as one of the leading LGBTQ+ community groups in the UK. Last year they were nominated for a British LGBT Award in the category of Top Charity or Community Initiative. HOMOPARODY have also created 12 original cabaret shows for LGBTQ+ audiences and have danced for artists such as Meek, Beks, Tia Kofi and many more.

The diverse collective has grown organically with an ethos of love, support, inclusion and empowerment. HOMOPARODY'S ultimate aim is to bring people joy, celebrate peoples individuality and show nothing but love to our community and beyond.

"We aim to uplift our audience and spread joy wherever we perform. Pride is a time to reflect on how far we have come, to remember those who fought for our rights and to continue to show people that love is the highest power and that we are so much stronger together!" David added.
