As we continue to grow and evolve, Barnsley Pride is proud to announce that we are now officially a registered charity. This marks a significant milestone in our journey, strengthening our commitment to supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community across Barnsley and beyond. Becoming a charity will help us build a more sustainable future, expand our community outreach, and ensure that Barnsley Pride remains inclusive, accessible, and impactful for years to come.

Alongside this exciting development, we will also be changing the date of this year’s event due to a clash with the FIFA World Cup. Moving forward, Barnsley Pride will no longer take place alongside Barnsley's Big Weekend, delivered by Barnsley Council. Being part of this major town celebration gave us an incredible opportunity to reach wider audiences, bring communities together, and showcase the very best of Barnsley’s diversity. Barnsley Pride will now take place on Saturday 25th July at Mandela Gardens.
