Barnsley Pride doesn’t happen by magic — although, after some of the things we’ve managed to pull off, we sometimes wonder! Behind the scenes is a brilliant bunch of volunteers who give their time, energy and questionable sleep schedules to make Pride happen.

From planning the big day and booking the acts, to answering emails, running community events, sorting stalls, creating social media posts and generally trying to keep everything moving in the right direction — our team does a bit of everything.

We’re proud to be a grassroots, community-led charity, and that means our team is made up of people who genuinely care about Barnsley and its LGBTQ+ community.

We might not always know where the tape measure has gone, someone is usually asking for the Wi-Fi password, and there’s probably a spreadsheet open somewhere that nobody remembers creating… but one thing is certain: we’re passionate about what we do.
