Pride is about more than one day a year — it’s about celebrating who we are, where we’ve come from and the community we’ve built together. We celebrate LGBTQ+ people, allies, local talent, diversity and the things that make Barnsley’s community unique. Whether it’s a massive Pride celebration or a small community get-together, there’s always something worth celebrating.

Support people, create connections and strengthen our community.

Nobody should feel like they have to face things alone. We work to connect LGBTQ+ people with welcoming spaces, community groups, activities, information and support. Through our events, partnerships and Barnsley Pride in the Community programme, we help people build friendships, find their people and feel part of something bigger. Because sometimes, knowing there’s a community behind you can make all the difference.
